Introduction and Goal

The illustration is that from the box top of the Empire of the Petal Throne role-playing game, by MAR Barker, originally published by TSR back in the day. The art is by Professor Barker and illustrates - in pictorial style - Béy Sü, the capital city of the Tsolyáni Empire.

What follows then is only what I have extrapolated and cobbled together from myriad tidbits of information, or hints that I have picked up from a variety of sources. The goal being to create an image map of the city, using the pictorial map image, that will allow people to find out more about this "great, beauteous, and powerful city."
